I juggle travel with a full-time career, which means squeezing in long weekends, plotting extended holidays, and tacking vacation days onto work trips to make the most of every opportunity. I\u2019ve done whirlwind city breaks, multi-week journeys, and returned to some places more times than I can count (looking at you, Istanbul and Berlin \ud83d\udc40).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udcddI do my own research from finding the best rail pass to planning how to cluster attractions without wasting time. I believe the little things make a big difference. But I also leave space for spontaneity. I might know where I should go but if something unexpected grabs my attention, I\u2019ll happily take the detour.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Some Facts about Me<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u2615 I love coffee, chocolate, high viewpoints, and fantasy books with rich world-building (yes, I can talk fictional politics and social systems all day).<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udf10 I\u2019ve lived in three countries and met hubby in Barcelona. We spent over four years in a long-distance relationship, meeting up in cities around Europe.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83d\uddfa\ufe0f I plan carefully down to the best temple entrance, which bus to catch, and where to find dessert nearby. Whoever travels with me just goes along with it, knowing I\u2019ve already worked out all the details \ud83d\ude0a I do invite others to help plan, but if they don\u2019t&#8230; no complaints allowed!<\/li>\n<li>\ud83e\udded I rarely get lost&#8230; unless I want to.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83c\udff0 I\u2019ll climb every church tower, hilltop, or castle wall. Just don\u2019t ask me to hike in the wilderness.<\/li>\n<li>\u2600\ufe0f I\u2019m not a winter girl. Give me sun, always.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83d\ude8c I avoid big group tours unless there\u2019s truly no other way.<\/li>\n<li>\ud83d\udcb8 Luxury travel? Not really &#8211; I\u2019d rather stretch my budget to do more. That said, I do have a hard rule about clean, private bathrooms. Non-negotiable. \ud83d\ude05<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">About the Blog<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I started Hit the Road Ket because people kept asking me how I plan my trips. I was already that go-to friend with saved itineraries and tons of tips, so I started this blog to give you practical, honest travel advice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\ud83d\udca1Here you\u2019ll find:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>In-depth, independent itineraries for low to mid-range budgets.<\/li>\n<li>Detailed transport tips, neighbourhood guides, and how to avoid tourist traps.<\/li>\n<li>Travel tips for part-time travellers (like me) who need to make every holiday count.<\/li>\n<li>Advice for solo travel, couples travel, and multi-generational trips (I\u2019ve done them all except with kids, as I\u2019m child-free).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Everything here comes from personal experience and I try to update regularly, as I travel more.
